NRNA Japan Team Meets Ambassador MAEDA Toru

On June 30, we, the NRNA Japan team, had the honor of welcoming His Excellency Ambassador MAEDA Toru to our office.

During the meeting, we shared the pressing issues faced by the Nepali community in Japan — especially the growing challenges encountered by students and newly arrived workers, including financial stress, employment difficulties, and more.

We also briefed the Ambassador about our “Nepali Ghar” (Nepal House) initiative — a vision to create a cultural and support center for Nepalis in Japan, where we can celebrate our heritage, assist one another in times of need, and preserve our identity for future generations.

Looking ahead to the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Nepal and Japan in 2026, we mutually agreed to collaborate on special programs that promote cultural exchange, strengthen friendship, and celebrate unity between our two nations.

This was more than just a diplomatic courtesy — it was a meaningful step toward dignity, recognition, and long-term empowerment of the Nepali diaspora in Japan.

We, the NRNA Japan team, reaffirm our commitment to protecting the rights and future of Nepalis living in Japan. Together, we rise. Together, we build.
