Non-Resident Nepalese Association (NRNA), a Non-Profit Organization authorized by the Nepal Government, was established on 11 October 2003 with the purpose of protecting the interest of the Nepali diaspora living around the world. NRNA has grown its network in most countries of the world with the establishment of its National Coordination Council (NCC), including its establishment in Japan since 2004. About 100,000 Nepali immigrants reside in Japan — the fifth largest immigrant population in the country. NRNA NCC Japan has established 12 regional committees across Japan with a vision to unite every Nepali residing in Japan and to promote, represent and safeguard the welfare of Nepali nationals and people of Nepali origin in Japan.
